"Reed is not a family name. It was the original name on the building located in downtown Los Angeles. For over 70 years and in 6 locations, we functioned as a retail and manufacturing jeweler. I had customers all over the USA. I decided it was time for a change. I closed all locations, opened up a pawnbroker location on Whittier Blvd, where space and price made a difference. The landlord was not my partner. With less overhead, I had more money to lend to you. We believe in stress-less loans. We want our customers to feel like family, not strangers. I think we have the best staff in the business. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and will do everything creatively to make sure you get the money you need now. We make loans, not excuses. We charge no storage and 0% on all new single loans under $500 for the first 30 days. We are open 5 days a week, Tuesday Through Saturday from 10am to 5pm . We make loans on jewelry, gold, electronics, tools, collectables and unusual items of value. If it has value, we will try to make that loan"

"I have been in this business almost all my life. I studied to be a therapist and a actor. I think i use all my education and life experience to make sure you fell right at home. I was originally asked to do a reality show based on the exploits of a pawnshop. They wanted it to be reality based. Ask personal questions of customers, film them on hidden cameras, have them sign a waiver to use at a later date on T.V. I could not do it. Attorney's have client privacy, doctors have patient secrecy, so i felt that as a pawnbroker I owed that same respect to our customers. What happens at Reeds, stays at Reeds. I feel we have the best staff in the city, who will move mountains to make sure that we make that loan. We make loans, not excuses. We loan on jewelry, gold, electronics, tools, and collectibles.
